St. Peter Lutheran Church
As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) we believe in God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a God who created and redeems and sustains us and all creation.
We believe that because God loves us and cares for us, we should also love and care for those around us.
We believe that God’s gifts to us come freely—we call it GRACE!
We believe that scripture is the inspired Word of God and it is how we can know God and the ways that God’s love comes to us.
We believe that humans are sinful by nature—that’s why the world’s problems can seem so overwhelming. But we also believe that Jesus lived, died, and rose and God forgives our sins and uses us as part of the solution to the world’s problems.
Our beautiful and historic building dates from the 1860’s but includes modern amenities like plumbing, electricity, heat and air conditioning! St. Peter is the oldest church in Trenton still worshiping in our original building.
Our building is available for weddings and community events. Contact the office for more information.
